I think these first gem is perfect example of the totally unprecedented new horn style brought to the table by people like Tommy McCook, Vivian Jackson aka Yabba U, and Augustus Pablo. A serious discussion of who influnced these simultaneously over-the-top yet authentically Churchical dubwise horn arrangements and productions would be a productive side conversation.

Channel One Soundsystem came through to Bogota, Colombia where Iā€™m living these days

A year ago they came out, played a show and helped some local djs called Grand Latido build a sound system ina proper dubwise style.

They played the one year anniversary of that show / build about two weeks ago. Good times were had by all.
