I’m not sure it’s anything more than a nice gimmick, though by the looks of it plenty of people have bought it. Artists like that are reliant on pumping out new content so any angle like this is an easy win.

Completely true that it’s a gimmick. Earlier last year I saw pop songs with “8D Audio” and the descriptions said it was like being in the concert, like a VR-experience that’s audio only. It’s all a matter of sound design imo. BTW that Max Cooper EP sounds incredible

It’s a silly gimmick and it makes me a bit ill that Max Cooper is using the term 8D.
