Starting this thread as a place for any label heads/independent artists to discuss vinyl pressing.
From my limited (UK-based) experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Curved, who are a pleasure to deal with and the vinyl always sounds great. Delays aren’t uncommon, but that seems to be the case everywhere nowadays.
Does anyone know of any pressing plants that are happy to manufacture runs of fewer than 300 12"s?
I second the Curved recommendation. We had one mishap over the four records we pressed with them but they didn’t hesitate to admit fault and send out a second shipment immediately. Would still work with them if we didn’t move our pressing/distro to the US.
I can’t say the same for Gotta Groove in the US who when a similar issue arose tried to gaslight us that our records ~weren’t~ dished.
Anyone had a good experience with a plant in the US? I’ve heard positive things about Burlington Record Plant (but no firsthand knowledge) and only horror stories about the rest. It’s a bummer there’s no resource for this stuff!
I was very excited to read that a new vinyl pressing plant will be opening in West Oakland, California this year. They’re supposedly taking vinyl projects now, and hope to be pressing “by the end of the summer.” Fingers crossed!

Not exactly pressing plant stuff, but i know some good dudes cutting vinyl up in Preston, UK. Really fast turn around doing one offs and short runs.
Working with a new plant in Holland atm. Called Deepgrooves. Vinyl should be here in september… Their communication is clear and prices are allright. I think they start pressing at 150 but artwork is minimum 300.
yeah i was super stoked to hear theyre coming online too, better get your orders in as soon as they open cus theyre gonna be slammed!
