This album came out about two weeks ago and it seems as if the response has been rather tepid. I have seen quite a lot of media portraits and interviews but it doesn’t seem like listeners have really been captivated.
My feeling is that it is a bit uneven - many of the typical Lotic techniques are represented and the sound design is often quite interesting but I think that the vocals are unfortunately quite flat and undynamic. I also feel like some of the tropes used have run their course - but I still really like some moments of the album.
To wrap up, I’m pretty curious as to what others have thought of this album.
