Let's Talk About TouchDesigner

#1

Found out about this software recently after digging on how the background was done in this set

For those that don’t know, TouchDesigner is a node based visual programming language for real time interactive multimedia content. It’s been used by artists, programmers, creative coders, software designers, and performers to create performances, installations, and fixed media works.

With that, I fell into the rabbit hole that is TouchDesigner. I’m not expert at it, just learning and catching tutorials when I can. Seems like sky is the limit. My goal is to get o k at it to the point where I can make my own visual style. Hopefully I also get to make audioreactive visuals for shows and such.

Any of you into this? Tips, tutorials or art, feel free to share all <3

Touch designer stuff is pretty dope, only heard of recently too. Pretty sure Autechre were using it on a couple of those Twitch livestreams they did a couple of months back. Well worth a look, really simple but quite elegant reactive animation.

If anyone wants to get started here are some channels for tutorials:

I’ve been following few tutorials. Reeeally heady when you start, at least how i felt. But the more tutorials I watch the more understandable it feels. Lots of the projects i see still look like magic. It’s fun though
