I’m loathed to stick this in ‘New Releases’ in case we’re waiting another few years for an album from Jai Paul but XL just posted a tweet, (perhaps) hinting at new music.
I really liked the singles he put out in 2011 and I did cop the leaked tracks which were really promising imo. I’m a sucker for mutant pop music which is where this gets filed in my head.
Jai Paul had become a ‘whatever happened to…’ in my circles however his brother A.K Paul has remained active and I’d read an interview with Jai where he’d said they weren’t rushing just for the sake of getting something out there, which is fair enough.
There was a fair bit of hype for him all those years ago and I expect a lot of people will still be looking forward to hearing something new. Any love for him on 55555555555555 tho?
I wonder what resemblence the finished product, if there is one, will have to those tracks we heard way back when.
