Favorite glitch records?

#1

What are some of your favorite glitch tracks/records/albums? I’d love to discover something I haven’t already heard.

Here’s a track from one of my favorite glitch records, Twerk’s “Living vicariously through burnt bread”.

#2

I’m a big fan of Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto

#3

Oval, Microstoria and snd. That’s it for me.

#4

not exactly the most groundbreaking list but here are some faves of mine:

Pole 1
Ae Cichlisuite
Delarosa + Asora Agony Part 1
Kristuit Salu Vs Morris Nightingale My Mines I
edIT Crying over Pros for No Reason
Pimmon Snaps, Crackles, and Pops
Crunch 1

#5

also Eight Frozen Modules probably deserves a shout out too

#6

Everything from Downliners Sekt.

Also: Sunny Graves

#7

like Silent Ascent ?

#8

Crush The Sight-Seers - Airbrush (Clogged)

#9

exactly! i miss them. Sunny Graves are a bit of a substitute, they are also from spain…

#10

Was really deep into the three first Clicks_+_Cuts compilations, and the artists on there, when they came. Otherwise, early Pole and Vladislav Delay. Rediscovered Jan Jelinek’s Loop-finding-jazz-records the other day—abloodymazing! And Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto’s stuff, of course.

Really loved this record here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsHL3jLDwlA

Yeah so much good stuff with him, I especially love Ovalcommers

#15

Now we’re talking, people! Thanks heaps! I’ve found more great music in this thread than over the past couple of years following the regular releases. Awesome, keep them coming!

A few more favorites from me:

#16

Went through my old HD and found some stuff that haven’t been mentioned yet, I think. Mostly stuff from early 2000, and perhaps some borderline minimal techno releases.

Not really glitch, but had to have it on some list somewhere on here.

#17

Big fan of that Donnacho Costello album. The drum and bass track on there is really good

#18

Kristuit Salu Vs Morris Nightingale My Mines I

Holy shit yes this is such an awesome album. Better than anything he recorded under his own name.

MERCK was a cool label. Shame it folded so soon.

#19

Love the random Inc album

#20

agreed. at least with Machinedrum we got a few great post-Merck records before the music turned to dogshit.
