I’ve been noticing a big swell in faster dance music. From the electro explosion of the last couple years, to faster styles in paris, copenhagen, london and beyond, BPMs seem to be creeping up around the globe. Have you noticed this or am I just tuning into that sound these days? Some examples:

tbh i feel like there’s always been fast dance music since the 90s and earlier. maybe its just because the early 2010s centered around post-dubstep and mid tempos around 120-135bpm, and it’s only now that we’re catching up to the gabber influenced acts that have been working underground. anyways, here’s a few fast tracks i like.
