DJ Dodger Stadium’s new album “Big Wave More Fire” just dropped today. I’m thoroughly impressed with the lane they have carved out for themselves straddling pop, r&b, dance, and indie. This album also clarifies just how big of a role they must have had on TLOP. I saw all the tracks they were credited on, but hearing the production on this album, they must have had a major influence on the sound of TLOP. Can’t believe how far Jerome in particular has come from his work as half of the LOL Boys.

This record manages to be unfashionably earnest, sonically interesting, and experimental, while remaining catchy, and innocuous enough to play on any radio station, shop, or dancefloor.

I’ve only listened to this album once through but I enjoyed it! I kinda lost track of DJ Dodger Stadium after “Love Songs” came out (one of my favorite songs of 2014) but then I saw the St. Vincent “Los Ageless (Remix)” with DJDS and put the clues together.

The Amber Mark tracks are :fire: and I also enjoy the “No Pain” track with Charlie Wilson, Charlotte Day Wilson and Khalid. I’m sure I’ll find more favorites on future listens.
