Air Max '97 // Nacre (DECISIONS Records)
Released June 1, 2018

Just listening through this now but figured I’d start the thread anyways. So far it’s a bit more restrained than I’d expect from him. I think it complements the Skee Mask record nicely. A darker more chaotic take on that sound (not that skee mask originated it or anything, just another recent example). I like how some of the sounds feel like they are working against the mix at times, or how the bass will just have a life of its own independent of the other sounds.

Good shit.

Veneer’s been my jam all last week, though it is by far the least restrained track on the album and probably closest to his single/EP output.

I’m really into it.

Not sure how much press he’s done around it but (sorry, plug coming) he kindly came on my radio show last week to talk about the album, and he made a real gud guest mix featuring lots of artists from his label.
